Comprehensive Orchard Consulting Services

We offer different orchard consulting packages to fit your needs, or we can create a customized offering for your operation.

Option 1: Pest & Disease Scouting

This option provides scouting of your blocks on a weekly basis during the production season, with scouting reports delivered to ranch and / or area managers. Scouting focus is on insect and disease pests and beneficial insects, but will also include observations on weeds, tree growth, tree health, and crop physiology. This option does NOT include recommendation writing but does include assistance in evaluating post-application product efficacy.

Option 2: Pest & Disease Scouting + Trapping

This option provides the same scouting service as in option 1, but also includes weekly trap checking for codling moth, OFM, and leafrollers at a trap density of up to 1 trap per 5 acres. Trapping services to start by apple full bloom and continue through September. Trapping for other pests such as Apple Leaf Curling Midge, leafhoppers, SWD, etc. available for an additional fee.

Option 3: IPM Consulting

Weekly scouting and trap checking as described above. Tabulation of phenology models for insects and diseases where validated models exist. Includes full MRL-friendly recommendation writing for pest management (insect and disease), herbicides, and plant nutrition.

Option 4: Comprehensive Consulting Package

Same services as Option 3 above, but also includes recommendation writing for Plant Growth Regulators and crop load management.

We offer contract research and product development services to basic registrants. We specialize in plant growth regulators and crop load management, but also offer services for development and evaluation of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, plant nutrients, and biostimulants.

Field trials are conducted in commercial orchards in Washington State, providing product evaluations in real world cropping systems. 

We can conduct small-plot randomized and replicated trials per your protocol, or we can assist with protocol development that ensures a robust experimental design.

We can also arrange and manage larger scale grower-applied demonstration plots, as well as assisting with or managing EUP work.

We prepare and provide 3rd party agronomic analysis reports for institutional and private investors as part of their due diligence process when considering purchasing tree fruit orchards in the Pacific Northwest. Reports include an assessment of agronomy, horticulture, infrastructure, and farm management to assist in the decision-making and negotiating processes.
